Tee Lee

Habla Español?

Since the 8th grade, Tee Lee has known she wanted to become a litigator in family law.  Throughout law school, Tee focused her education on family law courses.  She was an extern for Judicial Hearing Officer Samuel Stafford at the Eighth Judicial Circuit, working in the area of child support.  Tee was a certified legal intern for Child Protection Team and Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, working with abused, neglected, and abandoned children.

During law school, Tee worked as a legal intern at small firm in Ocala, Marion County, Florida in the area she was most interested in – domestic relations, dissolution of marriage, and paternity.  Working a brief period of time there upon graduation and upon passing the bar exam, Tee wished to return to Gainesville to spend more time with her family.

Tee has always focused much of her time and energy on public interest work and became an Equal Justice Works/Americorps Fellow at Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc., providing quality legal representation and assistance to the poor, abused, disabled, and elderly.  There, Tee worked with eviction defense and ran the Family Law Clinic and Outreach Clinic.  Wishing to focus back exclusively in marital and family law, Tee returned to a small firm litigating exclusively in dissolution of marriage cases, paternity, modifications, relocation, child support issues, and family law appeals.

Throughout her legal career, Tee has continued her support in public interest work and survivors of domestic violence.  She has worked on pro bono cases through Peaceful Paths and Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc.

With a genuine interest in the ever-evolving family law issues, Tee stayed up to date with any changes in the legislature regarding family law, educating family law attorneys and judges with continuing legal education courses in legislative and rule updates as the chair of the Family Law Section of the Eighth Judicial Circuit.

Tee Lee believes that civility and professionalism is of the utmost importance in the legal field and has been serving on the Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar.

Wishing to stand out on her own and wanting to learn first-hand the business aspects of being an attorney, Tee became a solo practitioner for over two years.  Building a successful business from the ground up was a personal achievement Tee enjoyed.  With the support of a fully staffed law firm and the support of two experienced attorneys, Tee was excited to join as “of counsel” at Alba & Yochim, P.A. in September 2019.

Tee Lee handles all issues involving family law including dissolution of marriage, paternity actions, child support establishment and modification, relocation, contempt, attorney’s fees in family law cases, and family law appeals.

When not advocating for her clients, Tee enjoys spending time with her family.  As a mother of two, she understands and empathizes with her clients on a personal level.  Her favorite activity is trying out new foods at local restaurants in the Gainesville area and enjoying time with friends.  Tee is an animal lover and volunteers at the Alachua County Humane Society.  She also volunteers at Talbot Elementary School with a local reading program and class volunteer.  Tee is very involved in her community and is Vice-President of her homeowner’s association.
