A woman died in an automobile crash on Interstate 75 near the Newberry Road exit on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol the woman driving the car was Chelsea Morgan. Morgan’s passenger, 18-year-old Dyamond Asbury was taken to Shands at the University of Florida in serious condition following the crash.

Apparently, the right rear tire blew out and Morgan lost control of the car. It spun off the pavement and hit two trees before coming to a stop, according to the Florida Highway Patrol’s crash report.

As legal representatives to the victims of auto collisions, we have noticed an increasing rate of incidents related to vehicle-condition factors. If an accident occurred, and you suspect that it may have been caused by a faulty or defective component of your vehicle, you should discuss the matter with an experienced attorney to determine if you may be entitled to compensation.

In accidents where the victim survived, but sustained injury, and auto collision attorney can assist you, by ensuring that your legal rights are fully protected. However, in tragic cases, where the victim suffers fatal injuries, a wrongful death attorney can determine whether the victim’s loved ones can recover damages for their loss. The Gainesville lawyers of the Law Office of Alba & Yochim represent both the injured, as well as family members of the deceased, in recovering financial compensation caused as a result of an automobile collision.
